Mayoral & City Council Elections – Voice Your Transportation Concerns

Houston City Elections are coming again this November.  Here is your chance to make sure the candidates take notice of our growing transportation issues.

The Citizens’ Transportation has Partnered with the Houston Coalition of Complete Streets and other associated groups to make sure the candidates address our transportation issues, Including the following topics:

  • Complete Streets Policies
  • Traffic Congestion and Parking
  • Ride Shares, Jitneys, and other Competing Passenger Cars
  • Bike Trails & Bayou Greenway Initiatives
  • Multi-modal Transit Alternatives
  • Passenger High Speed Commuter Rail
  • Shipping/Freight and Rail Heavy Truck Traffic
  • Public Infrastructure Ordinances and Policy
  • In the coming weeks we will be sending out a survey to all of the candidates, and ask their positions on these transportation issues. We invite you to visit our web site ( and view their answers.  We will be updating this site as the candidates send us their responses.  We will notify you all via our Facebook site and via our Constant Contact email newsletter.
  • We are also working to make sure candidates address transportation related issues during their on-going debates. We invite you to attend these forums in your area, and ask the candidates directly to address the issues that are important to you.  We will broadcast the debates co-hosted by the Houston Citizens’ Transportation Coalition.  Come on out and let your voice and your vote be heard. Below are the CTC Co-Sponsored Events.  We hope to hear you voice your transportation concerns at these forums
