Washington Ave Livable Centers

Public meeting #3 for the Washington Ave Livable Centers study was held on Thursday 08/09/12.

Presentation boards displayed are available for download at:

Representatives of the Superneighborhood 22 Transportation Committee  expressed a degree of disappointment over the low priority and ‘for future consideration’ approach taken to the proposed streetcar circulator for the Washington Corridor given the level of support for this transit option indicated at previous community meetings and at the Washington Ave Neighborland web site.

One Response to “Washington Ave Livable Centers”

  1. Good to see the council selsouiry looking at public transit. Speaking from someone who lives in a growing municipality and experiencing some growing pains with transit, I hope they look at how convenient the routes will be.Outside of the morning rush hours, Milton buses run mostly empty during the day. The routes arent convenient for a lot of potential riders to get around town.Nothing can be perfect at the start and its a learning process for everyone involved. From the staff who work on the routes and getting things started to the residents who should give it a try.Good post.
